Happy Monday everyone! Yeah....I can't believe I used Happy and Monday in the same sentence either. The weekend was good. Friday night and Saturday morning I worked in Lubbock. Jacob and
Brancent were suppose to journey with me but Friday morning he found out he would have to work until 6
ish because so many people hadn't shown up. Thanks guys. So I made the trip alone and the boys stayed here. Only highlight was I got to see Simon (and Jared and Patty) Friday night and he showed me his very cool card tricks. Saturday night
Brancent Jacob and I went to the Mendoza's house to watch the first half of the very sad
OU vs Texas Tech game.
Soooooooo sad.
Had some really cool things happen this weekend/today. God's provision makes me laugh sometimes and unfortunately I at times only take notice and acknowledge His provision when it comes to money. I'm working on it though....
1. I have an
Iphone that my super cool boss/pastor gave to me. It is his old one but it works great and I love it! Long story short I went into an
ATT store twice and then called once to get unlimited text added. Each time I was told it had been added but then I would get my bill (insert screams of horror here). This has been the pattern for 4 months! I was so frustrated and decided to call Saturday to see if I could report the imbecile that apparently added unlimited to my phone 3 times yet it never showed up. After explaining what had happened the lady told me she would backdate everything and add it. The amounts that I had paid for months past would have been overpayment and she would credit to me. It ended up that my bill for this month ($145) was wiped out by the credit and I still have a $17 credit left.
2. We received a check in the mail from
Brancent's insurance. They are paying back for services between certain dates they should have covered but didn't. So they sent a nice little check in the mail. (No sorry, this doesn't mean my faithful blog readers will receive Christmas gifts-Jacob's Dr will receive an almost pay off of his bill from when he was born)
I think I am in a season where God is gently and constantly reminding me He is there regardless of the change and
uncertainty around me. I admit change, big or little, is hard for me and I can get very rattled by it. However, the thought of
His promise of continual presence is so good-like sitting in the sun in a fluffy chair at Starbucks with a cup of Mint white
chocolate mocha kinda good or a slobbery kiss and smile from Jacob kinda good. :)
