Weddings and leaving our "mark"

I seriously don't think they could be any cuter!

Saturday night we attended my cousin Rikki's wedding. Rikki looked stunning and everything was beautiful. My dad got a picture of her on his camera so will try to post it later. (I didn't get my camera out until we left...had a sleepy baby in my arms). We had a great time seeing family from the area and even cousins from NM. Here's my funny story from the night.

We got to the wedding barely on time after I lost the only key we have to my car. So needless to say I was a little frazzled. I hate being late or even barely on time! We sit down and the wedding starts. Everyone looked great! Jacob, my little tooter, was living up to that nickname as the wedding started. He had all day to fill up his diaper, but did he? Nope he waited until we were at the wedding in the middle of the prayer! My sweet boy is precious but is not shy or quite about doing his "business". I take him to the foyer to change him (small bathrooms-no table). I am clean him up, so proud we did not get any on his clothes. Some on the blanket but no big deal we have a spare. I whip out my little roll of scented diaper baggies. Yes I am a mom who actually puts the diaper in a bag instead of say...on the parking lot. I carefully hold the "package" and drop it in the open bag....it falls through to the floor. The bag wasn't sealed on the bottom. So I scooped it up only to realize something had oozed out onto the carpet. So as the lovely exchanging of the rings was going on I was frantically trying to wipe poop off the carpet with a wet wipe before the people who run the wedding place saw me. Jacob laid on the pew cooing and smiling. Sure, HE was feeling much better! As happens when I get embarrassed or nervous I break out into a sweat and turn red. Trying to compose myself I get out another bag and discover it's sealed on both ends! What in the world! I tear it open and drop it all in. By this time the wedding is over and bride, groom and wedding party have exited. Oh well. Thus is the life of a mother and I would not trade it for anything!
PS Jacob had his 2 month check up today and weighs 12lbs and is 23 1/4 inches long
